Aldo Paolucci

Campobasso, Italy • 1941 – 2002

Aldo Paolucci was an Italian painter celebrated for his masterful handling of light and color, as well as his ability to balance realism with emotion. Born in Campobasso, Italy, in 1941, Paolucci began painting in his youth and went on to study at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, where he earned his Master of Arts degree in 1961. That same year, following an exhibition in Paris, he settled permanently in France, where he would live and work for the rest of his life.

Paolucci’s first solo exhibition was held in Campobasso in 1960, marking the beginning of a prolific career. His subjects range from still lifes and snow scenes to beach views, portraits, and nudes, each infused with a sense of warmth and harmony. His command of light gives his work an orchestral quality, where color and atmosphere play in rhythm, revealing both the serenity and complexity of the human spirit.

Paolucci’s paintings have been exhibited widely across Italy and France and are held in private collections throughout Europe and the United States. His legacy endures through his joyful yet contemplative works that continue to resonate with collectors and admirers around the world.
